Rowena Ravenclaw is the founder of Ravenclaw house in Hogwarts. She values a sharp mind, wisdom, creativity, and cleverness, all evident in the students from her house. She doesn’t mind failure, for without failure, how does one learn and succeed again? She’s very willing to teach anyone who is eager to learn. She is famed for her intellect, but Rowena does not flaunt it, although she does show a certain amount of liking to those who she considers witty and able to hold a conversation with her. She doesn’t look down on anyone, no matter their blood status. She was taught from a young age to be fair and just to all.
Rowena isn’t very comfortable in public situations where she has to stand in front of huge crowds to speak. However, give her something she loves and enjoys to talk about and she’ll quickly forget about her uneasiness. For the most part, Rowena is a sheltered lady. She doesn’t have many friends; she considers Helga Hufflepuff her only true friend. Rowena can come off as aloof or intimidating at times, but she’s really just not sure how to approach someone or how to react. She hasn’t had much experience in love; it’s not something she likes to think about. Rowena doesn’t like arguments or disputes. She’s up for a healthy academic debate but when it escalates into an argument, Rowena will stop voicing out her opinions.

history;;
It was the start of a new year and Reginald Ravenclaw was holding his newborn daughter in his arms. His wife, Mildgyth, had a difficult labour and her chances of living through the night were not well. She’d delivered three babies before this child and they were all stillborns. As the night passed, so did Mildgyth Milborrow. It did not sit well with Reginald that he could not do anything to save his wife even with his magic. With his daughter, Reginald left the village the very next day. The wizard was quite mad with grief and took shelter in an abandoned cabin near the edge of a forest. The cries of his daughter soon caught the attention of someone passing by. Averrett Peverell, a fellow wizard. Naturally, Reginald didn’t know that. Magic was feared at that time, no one practised it openly. When Averrett opened the door, Reginald threw a jinx and to his surprise, Averrett cast a shield spell to block it.
It was with the help of Averrett that Reginald managed to pull himself together. He took his daughter and went to live with the Peverell family, becoming their tutor, teaching them magic. For Reginald was a powerful wizard indeed. It was in that household that Rowena grew up in. She never had to worry for anything; magic provided the household most of what was needed to survive. She never really ventured out of the mansion, preferring to stay in the house, learning what she could from her father and uncle Peverell. She showed signs of magic from a young age and as she grew older, she didn’t require a wand to cast spells.
Rowena was eighteen when she learned she was to marry Aylward Peverell, who was two decades older than her. The young lady never liked the elder man, who was uncouth, revolting and horrendously dim witted. The night before her wedding, she ran away. It was luck, absolute luck that the first person Rowena met was Helga Hufflepuff. Helga was sympathetic to her plight and offered Rowena a place to stay. The two became fast friends. Rowena missed her father and would sneak back to the Peverell mansion occasionally to get a look at him. One night, she was careless and got caught by none other than Aylward. He overpowered her by brute strength, pinning her to the ground and Rowena had no doubt as to what was on his mind.
It was when he started ripping her clothes off that sweet Rowena started to fight back. She kicked at him, struggled, and punched him. Finally, the wisdom that she was going to be famed for later in life kicked in. She called on her magic and the Peverell was blasted away from her, hitting his head on a boulder. Rowena did not stay to see if he was alive. She ran back to Helga, praying that her friend was awake and would listen to her story.
After that incident, Rowena soon withdrew into herself, occupying her time with inventing new magical devices. Or rather, trying to. She failed most of the time, but that only made her more determined to succeed. She taught magic to those who came to her, as a means of surviving. Not all had the natural gift of magic she had. Years passed and Helga soon approached her about starting up a new magical school. Seeing how Helga was so excited about it, Rowena agreed and soon enough, Hogwarts was founded together with two other founders, Godric and Salazar.
The Ravenclaw felt an immediate attraction to both males, but for entirely different reasons. However, seeing as Helga was madly in love with Godric, Rowena made sure her attraction to Godric was never made known. She busied herself with the layout of the castle in Scotland, creating the ever changing staircases that have caused many a student to grumble when they were late for their lessons. Rowena continued with her magical inventions, creating a diadem and eventually an untested time turner that has landed all of them here in the future.

roleplay sample;
With nothing to occupy her, Victoire had taken to exploring the Wizarding World. It might not have been such a good idea, considering the fact that it was the year 1979 and they were in the middle of the war now. Just yesterday, she’d read the Daily Prophet and seen the moving photograph of another massacred Muggle village. The Dark Mark could be seen clearly in the sky and Vic felt the shivers down her spine even though she was safe and sound in her home with Teddy. But there was only so much she could do while at home. It wasn’t like Teddy was around twenty four seven to be with her. Even then, Victoire thought her husband would most likely get sick of her and order her to get lost. Or something along those lines.
So the blonde was here, in King’s Cross Station. She’d already garnered more than a couple of looks from Muggles and Victoire was starting to get a little antsy. It wasn’t like she was doing anything out of the ordinary. She didn’t think she was dressed out of the ordinary… Vic mentally smacked herself on the head. It had to be the Veela blood in her. She couldn’t think of any other explanation as to why Muggles were turning around and looking at a lone blonde woman sitting in a café in the train station. She sighed softly, taking a small sip of her hot tea. She’d been here for almost three months now and there had still been no news from the Ministry. Perhaps she should go to the Ministry of Magic and demand some answers.
It was surprising to Victoire that there hadn’t been a total riot. Surely there were people that resented being thrown into this particular time period. Couldn’t they have been brought to the future? Vic could never come up with answers for the questions in her head. She pouted slightly, before starting on her cake. She was so going to lose her figure at the rate she’d been eating. And that was a totally insignificant thought when there was a war going on.
