Darius isn’t really that easy to describe. He has that natural aura that makes people feel comfortable and has a normally easy going nature. He doesn’t get angry that often and has a positive view on the world around him. He does though get very protective over his family which is the easiest way to piss him off. He is also incredibly loyal to his friends. Once you’re Darius’ friend you are his friend for life. He is also incredibly touchy on the subject of his family history. His father was a death eater and his sister and parents still support that belief, which upsets Darius. One could say he’s the good boy of the family.
Darius is a journalist, something that very much fits his personality. He’s naturally curious, has a talent for reading people’s emotions and whether they are lying or not. He can also sweet talk information out of people if he wanted to. He was in Gryffindor, something that shocked his family. They got use to the idea after a while but he was never the golden child after that one.

Darius was born on the 22nd of August, the first child to parents Theodore and Daphne Nott. He was one of the babies that didn’t really fuss. Darius never really felt the need to deman things, except that he gets kept far away from the family cat. His sister Thelma, was born a year later and that completed their happy little nuclear family. Not that the respectable Nott’s would call their family after a muggle term of course.
Darius’ first sign of accidental magic was at age four, when his little sister was angry with him. Darius wanted the cat out of the room, though Thelma was stroking it as though there was no tomorrow. After an hour of watching the cat shoot him smug looks, he got so fed up he sent the cat flying into the next room using magic. Even though he got lectured over this, his parents were proud that their son wasn’t a squib.
Darius’ family dynamic changed though when he was sorted surprisingly into Gryffindor. His family wouldn’t speak to him for almost two years after that and even now, the topic is a sore point of conversation. Darius meanwhile was very proud, he made some great friends in the house and had never really had a problem with muggle borns or halfbloods to begin with.
Darius showed a love of journalism from a young age. He had a passion for writing and photography so it was only natural that he perused it after school. He also does some photography work on the side, but mostly for fun.
