Hermione is a very driven nineteen year old. She has already had quite a life as one third of the golden trio and is often known as the brains of the bunch. She has a thirst for knowledge and a drive to overachieve, as she was the top of her year at Hogwarts and is very proud of this fact. She does tend to get a tad emotional over her grades and such, and tends to put a lot of pressure on herself to do better than before, even now she has left school.
Hermione has a big drive for giving everyone equal rights. She herself is muggleborn which was why she was on the end of some fairly nasty behaviour when younger but has grown use to this mindset and begun her crusade to defend others from this treatment. She has many views on the unfair treatment of houseleves, werewolves and half-breeds of any kind and will happily discuss them for hours when someone stupidly asks for them.
Hermione tends to be a tad bossy, her need to coddle others evident by her strict but naturally maternal manner taking drive to do so. She feels the need to especially protect Harry and Ron, her two best friends and has sometimes dug her own hole when doing so. Hermione does though have many vunrebilities. She sometimes feels as though she’s not good enough, or smart enough to be praised as she is. She’s never really cared for looks, but constant teasing about them when she was younger did have some affect on the way she held herself.

Hermione Jean Granger was born on the 19th of September 1979 as the only child to new parents Jean and Joseph Granger. Both were dentist who ran a clinic nearby their home in suburban London. She had a normal muggle upbringing unaware of her powers, except the occasional unexplainable use of accidental magic as a small child. She attended muggle schooling until she received her Hogwarts letter and her parents were explained of Hermione’s abilities. Hermione’s parent’s were surprisingly calm about the revelation that their daughter was a witch, but they did insist to Hermione later on that there were signs she was different from a young age, they just didn’t know how to look for them.
Hermione went to Hogwarts in 1991 and was sorted into Gryffindor after the hat gave some pondering on whether it should put her in Ravenclaw or not. Hermione wasn’t a hugely popular student for most of her first year, her seemingly bossy and know-it-all nature tended to get on the nerves of her classmates and the fact she was muggleborn didn’t make her too popular with the Slytherins. But after an incident involving a troll and the girls bathrooms, Hermione found friends in Ron Weasley and Harry Potter, this group being known later on as ‘the Golden trio’. Over their years at Hogwarts, the trio managed to find themselves in some very hairy situations including the fact that Hermione developed feelings for Ron pretty early on in the piece and watched him notice every girl but her. She also developed a bond with Viktor Krum, the Bulgarian Qudditch player who Hermione still insists every time someone stupidly brings it up in front of Ron, ‘did not steal her first kiss, thank you very much!’
Hermione did not finish her seventh year until after the end of the war, as she spent a year hunting horcruxes with Harry and Ron before the battle of Hogwarts brought Lord Voldemort to an end once and for all. Hermione had to confound her parents and such so they believed themselves to be other people and spent a few months tracking them down and fixing their memories before heading back to Hogwarts and finishing her last year.
Hermione now works in the Department of the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures where she spends her time making the lives of house elves and other creatures far better off. She also has her sights set on going into Magical Law Enforcement where she plans to help abolish many long known pro-pureblood laws.
