Lily is a very kind and caring person who is fiercely loyal to those who she loves. She does have the tendency of overreacting when someone insults someone she cares about which is due to her maternal nature. She hates people who think they are better than other's which is why she hates the treatment of muggleborn's and other creature's because she herself is muggle born. Lily had planned on being a healer before she was offered the chance to fight on the front line as a member of the Order of the Phoenix.
Lily is quite smart, especially at subjects such as; Potions, Charms and of course, Muggle Studies. In her spare time she always enjoys reading a new book which is the main reason she spent a majority of her younger years in a library. As well as being smart, she is quite a popular girl due to her fair and kind nature and is always willing to make a new friend. She cannot stand a liar and once a person proves themselves to be dishonest, she cannot trust them again and will tell them point blank to stay out of her life. Lily is also very adverse to the study and practice of Dark Arts and will not associate herself with anyone who is drawn to this sort of moral road.

history;;
Lily Marie Potter was born on the 30th of January 1960, the second daughter of Daniel and Daisy Evans who lived quite contently at the Muggle village of Spinner's End. Lily and her older sister spent their childhood being very well treated by her parents and even though they weren't the richest family, still were quite well off. Lily and her sister were quite close during their early years and Lily looked up to her sister as one would to a rolemodel.
Things ran quite smoothly for the family until Lily begun to develop mysterious powers which we now know were her first signs of magic. Of course Lily and her family didn't know this due to the fact that they were muggles and even though her parents found Lily's powers faccinating, they told her and her sister to keep them a secret.
But of course what is secret doesn't remain secret for long. One day when Lily was showing off to Petunia, a young boy by the name of Severus Snape saw them and knew at once what Lily was. His first meeting with the siblings didn't end well. due to the fact that not only did Lily and Petunia not believe him but Lily took offense to being called a witch which is sometimes considered a curse word in the Muggle lingo. But after a while, Lily begun to believe Severus' words and the pair begun to meet up and soon enough the pair were best friends. This was when Lily and Petunia's relationship begun to fall apart.
The breaking point for the siblings relationship was when Lily recieved her Hogwarts letter at age eleven and Lily's parents finally had proof that what they had witnessed from their daughter was a gift. Petunia grew jealous of the attention her sister was recieving and after a few failed attempts at getting herself into the school, she cut her friendship with her sister off and begun to call her a freak.
Lily fitted in quite well at Hogwarts and was quite popular due to her kind and smart nature. She managed to keep her friendship with Severus at a close level even though Lily was in Gryffindor and Severus was in Slytherin. Of course, even though Lily was very well liked, she still managed to make a few enemies, one group in particular. Lily, in her teenage state believed the Maruaders to be the bane of her existence. She thought that James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew and to a lesser extent, Remus Lupin, were all, well to directly quote Lily's lingo 'toe rags' who were bullies. It didn't help this sour relationship that the Marauders targeted Severus as their main victim.
In fifth year, other than Lily becoming a prefect, her relationship with Severus begun to strain. This had a few contributing factors. Mainly, Severus had begun to show more intrest in the study and practice of Dark Arts which Lily disliked immensly whilst Severus was very jealous of James Potter who had been showing very open affections to Lily since around third year. This all came bubbling to the surface one memorable summers day, when in a usual bullying session with the Marauders, Lily came to Severus' aid and in a fit of humiliation, Severus called Lily a 'mudblood'. From that point on, no matter how hard Severus tried, Lily cut him off entirely and their friendship ended.
As Lily and co. headed into their seventh and final year at Hogwarts, Lily was given the position of Head Girl and much to the suprise of everyone, James was given Head Boy. At first she battled James at everyturn and didn't understand what Professor Dumbledore had been thinking when awarding this position. But after a while Lily slowly started to notice the changes in James and after many years of persistent chasing, she finally accepted a date. The pair married shortly after Hogwarts when they both joined the Order along with James' friends. Now Lily as well as spending her time helping the Order, she hopes to start a family with James as well as become a healer one day when the war is over.
I'LL NEVER HEAR A WORD YOU SAY
roleplay sample;
Katrina sighed softly as the breeze wafted past the window of the girl's commentary, her bookmark keeping the lightweighted pages from the book from flipping over. Brushing a stray lock of her brunette hair, she let her blue eyes stray to the doorway which was sending sounds of loud toned conversations drifting inwards penetrating the silence. This was excactly why Kat had left the door open. She hated silence. Something about it was so, unnerving. Her gift was the fact she could study people's personality just by overhearing a fraction of their conversation. Maybe her fear was not being able to study someone. Of being suprised by another. None the less, Kat pushed that thought back into her mental wastebucket as she stood up, throwing a well loved copy of Pride and Predjuice onto her bed.
Kat walked lightly as she headed toward the doorway, her feet making slight tapping noises as the cold stone hit her feet causing Kat to shiver. As she reached the doorway, she smiled softly as she was reminded of his eyes. She couldn't help but sighed dreamily at the thought. They were the most penetrating color, so unique and yet it wasn't their color but what emotion they contained that faccinated Kat. She could only wonder what ran through his head. It was the fact that he was so unreadable that made Kat want to know him more. But they were never in close enough range to even talk or even meet eye contact. She was like a love struck Muggle girl in front of a Jonas Brother. It was slighly pathetic even in her own mind. If it wasn't so romantic. Forbidden love. She's a Gryffindor, he's a Slytherin. Yet he probably saw her as that oddball in Gryffindor. Professor Longbottom's daughter. The girl whose nose is constantly attached to a book. Still didn't matter to Kat though. He could call her horrible names and he still intruige her. Because he was such a mystery.
Walking down the corridor and heading to the stairway of the girl's dorms, she peaked her head out she noticed a few familiar faces. Her twin sister was in the middle of a circle of girls talking, as usual. She had always been the sociable of the pair in everyone's opinion. Kat was just the odd one who spoke only in bitter truths. Also Kat was known by the other houses by the odd Gryffindor seeker. Still not shocking.
Kat strolled her way toward the portrait hole and waving at a few friends politely as she pushed open the Fat Lady. She knew it was late and that everyone was meant to be heading back to their common rooms after dinner. She knew that it was odd for her to be wearing a strapless ankle length corseted nightdress. But she didn't mind that. It wasn't as though her being odd was a suprise. The dim light created a eeiry effect as it reflected against her pale skin reminding her of a scene in one of her favorite novels. But in this one, the heroine was sneaking out to meet her lover. Sadly that part in Kat's tale hadn't been casted yet. It reminded her a little of the first time she had met him. It had been a similarly weathered night and she had been wearing the same nightgown. The difference was, it was a Friday instead of a Tuesday. Yet that didn't matter. They had spoken only a little but he had still entranced her. Kat's mind began to drift back to that memory.
Katrina froze noticing a lone figure sitting at the window of the Astronomny tower. The boy's face was covered by his hair as the book he read lay against his uniformed clad knees. It interested Kat that a boy would spend a Friday evening reading. Stepping forward cautiously, Kat allowed her face to be bathed in the light as her hair blew in the breeze of the open window.
"Hello." Kat said softly her voice barely making a noise as the wind howled past the castle. Yet the boy heard. Glancing up from his book, he looked at her as though she was an alien for a moment before his gaze drifted to meet hers.
"Hey." The boy said quietly as she stepped closer her feet the loudest sound in their conversation bubble. Kat sat opposite him on the windowsill as her blue eyed glaze glanced out into the winter weather. They sat in silence the rest of that evening but it felt as though she had finally met someone who understood her. Like they were the only two people in the world.
It wasn't until after she had found out he was in Slytherin. Still it didn't matter to her. It made him that much more interesting. Kat vowed to get to know him before she finished school. Screw rules or rivalries.
