TAKING CHANCES RULES

Please read the following rules. We’re not a super strict site, but these general guidelines will make for a more enjoyable experience for everyone!

REGISTRATION

You are encouraged to register as your character's name, first and/or last name. After which, please change your display name to your character’s first, middle and last name all in lowercase immediately.

Title your application as LAST NAME, first name middle name. Please refrain from posting anywhere else until your application is accepted.

We have no limit on the amount of characters you can have. But you should know if you are able to cope with one character or five.

Naturally, females characters are always more than males characters, so if you take up a male character, it will be much appreciated!

POSTING

All posts made are to be in third person and past tense.

No one liners, all posts are encouraged to be at least two hundred words or two paragraphs and have a minimum of five sentences in each of them. We are an intermediate level site.

God-modding is a big no no. Do not assume how someone else's character will react.

Liquid time is allowed. This means your character can be in multiple places at once. This also means you can have several threads going on at the same time.

Mature threads containing sexual content or high levels of gore, violence etc, should be indicated in the topic title. But, do keep in mind the site rating!

Threads that have not been posted in for two weeks will be locked and moved to the archives. If you wish to continue with the thread, PM an admin.

Once a thread has ended, PM an admin to close it for you.

Canons characters are important to the overall plot, especially if they're involved in a subplot. For those who take up a canon, if you have not logged on/posted for two weeks, you will receive a warning. After one more week, the canon will be open to other players.

MISC

No anime characters. Human beings. Celebrities. Random MySpace people aren’t allowed for face claims.

Everyone should have at least an avatar up. 100x100 is the maximum size.

Signatures should be a reasonable size. No stretching the board.

Activity checks will be conducted every month or so.

Members should post in character twice or more every week so as to keep the plot moving.
