Lysandra is a very loyal person to those she cares for, such as her family and her circle of friends. Anyone she doesn’t know well will see her as a cold and aloof person. When making new friends, Lysandra is often highly cautious and analytical. But if you are welcomed into her circle of friends, you can be guaranteed to have her friendship until her dying day. She is willing to work though any hurt or betrayal but her friends must feel the same. If Lysandra suspects that they are just deceiving her, they should be prepared to say goodbye to their friendship.
That is the same case with her relationships. Lysandra can be remarkably cautious in entering a committed relationship, not one to rush into anything. She is as romantic and emotional as any other woman but can be somewhat inhibited in expressing her emotions. Her significant other will have to show her that she is appreciated and make her feel secure. This will help her in opening up and show the passion that she deliberately controls.
Lysandra is a driven and dependable person, but she dislikes chaos and unpredictability. She isn’t an aggressive person, not prone to throwing curses or picking a fight. If she’s hostile, she’s only using it as a defense. For Lysandra is not as secure as people seem to think she is. She may appear to be confidant but really, she is quite unsure about her appearance and herself. She might appear calm, collected and balanced but she does have mood swings. She fears being laughed at. Although she might pretend otherwise, Lysandra constantly seeks approval from the people she cares about.

Lysandra Lycoris Nott was born to Jameson and Vala Travers on the start of a new year, 1 January. She was, simply put, an accident. The Notts already had one son and that was enough for Vala. She had done her duty and provided an heir to the Nott family. She wasn’t a woman with a maternal sense, often leaving her son to the care of the house elf. So when she discovered she was pregnant, she resented the child even before it was born. If Vala wasn’t a motherly kind of person, then Jameson was even less of a father figure. The man’s life was devoted to his work and his other sideline duty as one of the first Death Eaters to Lord Voldemort.
It was into this family that Lysandra was born. She never saw her brother much during her childhood, as he soon left for Hogwarts before she could even speak. She was alone in the manor they lived in, with only an old House Elf for company. She pestered her mother, naturally, as all young children did, when they wanted attention. But that only led to even more isolation from her mother. Over time, the young child learned the habits of her mother and didn’t disturb her. It was from her childhood, that Lysandra began to dislike being alone.
She loved the holidays, when Lyndon would come home. Despite their age gap, she got along well with Lyndon and he soon became the closest thing she had to a friend. Lysandra was closeted in the house, never leaving to see anyone of her own age. And so her childhood went by, with her letter from Hogwarts coming on the day of her eleventh birthday. It was with a quiet joy that Lysandra read the letter. She’d heard stories from Lyndon and had been warned by her parents repeatedly that if she got into any other house other than Slytherin, she need not bother to come home.
It was with that thought in her head that she asked the Sorting Hat to place her in Slytherin instead of Gryffindor. Gryffindor! She would never be welcomed back into her home if she was sorted into Gryffindor! Despite not having much contact with her parents, Lysandra still wanted to please them, to make them proud of her. And so Slytherin became her house for the next seven years of her life. Lysandra was excited to be among people of her age for the first time and she clung onto the first person she met, who happened to be Regulus Black. They became friends, although looking back now, Lysandra might have annoyed him slightly.
The first time she showed her father her results, Lysandra got a rare smile from him. She had aced all her subjects. That one smile was enough to make Lysandra aim for excellent results in all of her Hogwarts years. It wasn’t difficult, Lysandra loved to challenge herself. She didn’t brag about her results, she wasn’t doing it for herself, she wanted her parents to be proud of her. Sometime in her fourth year, Lysandra got into her first serious relationship with an older Slytherin. It lasted one year before she found him kissing another girl. She would have given him another chance if he was willing to work it out with her, but he wasn’t. He broke up with her in front of the other girl and that was the end of it.
It took her some time to get over him, because Lysandra thought she was in love with him. Her grades dropped that year but in her sixth year, she had picked herself back up. She soon graduated from Hogwarts, with flying colours, as was expected of her. But Lysandra had no clue what to do with herself.
Lysandra came into her inheritance money and with that, set up a pub in Knockturn Alley at her brother’s urging. It provided the Death Eaters a place to discuss their business without looking over their shoulders. Besides, Lysandra wasn’t keen on working in the Ministry. It seemed that her life was going alright, with the exception of the war going on. Oh, and the people from different eras popping up.
